Limited productive activities for young people and the need for alternative organic fertilizers and feed resources motivated an Azolla cultivation training program in Panteriek Village, Lueng Bata Subdistrict, Banda Aceh City. The program aimed to introduce the benefits, cultivation principles, and potential uses of Azolla microphylla to local youth. The training was conducted on 25 July 2026 by lecturers and the Aquaculture Student Association of Universitas Abulyatama in partnership with the Panteriek Village Government. Fifteen participants aged 20-25 years attended; all were beginners selected by the village government. A participatory approach was applied through introductory instruction, demonstration, and cultivation practice. The activity provided participants with initial practical exposure to Azolla microphylla as a biological resource that can be cultivated in available containers or suitable sites. Follow-up assistance and growth monitoring are required to assess whether cultivation is sustained and whether the biomass is subsequently used by participants.
